Project Overview
This project involved the meticulous application of the final drywall finish to a recently framed residential space with a custom vaulted ceiling. Once the raw drywall sheets were installed, our focus shifted entirely to surface preparation. First, the tapered edges and joints were carefully taped and mudded to create continuous planes. Consequently, multiple thin coats of finishing compound were applied, with adequate drying and intermediate sanding between each layer to ensure a seamless texture. Furthermore, special attention was paid to the high, angled ceiling sections to maintain consistent planes across the complex structure. Ultimately, the entire room was sanded to a smooth finish, leaving it perfectly prepared for the final paint application.
